LADIES AUXILIARY Calling all female members of the Manteno Sportsmen's Club The Ladies Auxiliary of the Manteno Sportsmen's Club needs your HELP! The Ladies Auxiliary celebrated their 50th anniversary in 2002 with less than twenty members, yet when the Auxiliary was founded in 1952 it consisted of 89 members! We must increase our membership to keep the Auxiliary going strong! The primary responsibility of the Ladies Auxiliary is to host Tuesday Night Bingo. Weekly Bingo provides a recreational and social opportunity for residents of Manteno and neighboring communities, and the funds generated from Bingo assist in providing significant improvements to the Sportsmen's Club throughout the year. The Ladies Auxiliary also supports the community in other ways such as sponsoring annual Easter Egg Hunts (which are a huge success), and by contributing to the fireworks display on the 4th of July and to Oktoberfest in September. In addition, the Auxiliary contributes to some of the following organizations annually: Girl Scouts of America
Boy Scouts of America
United States Veterans
Red Cross The Ladies Auxiliary meets at the Sportsmen's Club at 7pm on the second Monday of every month. Being a member of the Auxiliary is a fulfilling experience and the member's efforts do not go un-rewarded! New members are welcome anytime so bring your friend, neighbor, sister, mother or just come alone and meet another!
